OHLG Business Grant (New Business Grant For Hospitality Industry)
Businesses in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sector are being offered a new one off business grant of up to £6000. It is for those impacted by the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) is now open for applications and you have until the 18th of March to apply.
This is a very welcome announcement for businesses in the hospitality industry as the Omicron variant while seeming to be less severe in its symptoms nonetheless tore through businesses over the past couple of months.
The OHLG funding will be available to organisations that were liable to pay business rates on December 30, 2021, providing in-person services on the business premises in the sectors of hospitality, leisure and accommodation.
Eligible businesses include caravan parks, holiday parks and apartments, hotels, cafes and restaurants, pubs, bars, nightclubs and soft play centres.
The payment you get will relate to the rateable value of your premises and would be between £2,667 and £6000. It you are eligible you can still receive the grant even if you have received previous Covid-19 grants in the past. Good Luck!
