Rolling hills and the lovely countryside are what this county offers places like Lough Muckno Leisure Parks take a seat by the lake and enjoy the cafe there or go on a boat trip to relax or to fish and even the local forest is an enjoyable walkthrough. On the Topic of walks, Rossmore Forest Parks has a lovely route that is for families and dog walkers with plenty of parking space and a playground you could spend the whole day at Rossmore along with its Rhododendron and Azalea displays which are best explored in the early summer. If getting out is something that isn’t for you, you could visit Monaghan County Museum which holds a number of the county’s local and historical artifacts and acts as a place where people can learn about Monaghan’s history.
