West Lothian or otherwise known as Linlithgowshire is bounded by the Avon to the west and Almond to the east the county is host to many cultural and historical landmarks. Cairnpapple hill which is a scheduled ancient monument or a church in the village of Torphichen which of the remains of the knight’s hospitaller order of st john, also many museums that dot the area like the Scottish shale oil industry or in Bathgate the beanie is a local history heritage run by volunteers. In Wilkinson, there is the military museum that details Scotlands military history from WW1 to the present day, while there are many other natural attractions like golf clubs and several woods, glens, and bings like Hermand Birchwood, Addiewell Bing, Linthouse Glen, and Longridge Moss all wonderful stretches of land one could walk on for ages.
