Back in November we brought to you the news that TLJ Access Control, who specialise in locks had been the recipients of the Innovation Award at the Holiday Park and Resort Innovation Show. I must admit that when I was asked to be one of the judges in the category, I would not have expected to have voted for a lock, after all locks have been around for thousands of years so finding an innovation seemed unlikely … but the vote was unanimous!
The reason was that they had taken a concept that had been used for years in hotels of a card to operate the door and had adapted it for use with Park Home doors.
This was not as simple as it sounds because the external doors of the park homes have much more complicated construction than that of the hotel doors. They had to create unique technology to make it possible and in doing so created so much more than just a lock! It also includes a full onboarding system for your guests and much more.
The RezLok can be used with either radio frequency or Bluetooth technology to offer a contactless solution which is so simple that fobs can be given to children to use. It can also be simply and fully integrated with smart automation platforms via TLJ Access Control’s interface.
Now we bring you more fantastic news from TLJ Access Control.
Holiday Home and Lodge builders ABI have just become only the 2nd manufacturer to be accredited to install RezLok into their doors before they are delivered to site. This is not only more convenient for the park operator but also ensures that the fitment and product performance are consistent.
Luke Martin, TLJ’s Chief Technical Officer, said:
It’s great to welcome ABI as only our second approved installer for TLJ RezLok. We designed this lockset to be a market-leader from the outset and, with continual enhancements and improvements, we are confident it meets the needs of leisure industry manufacturers, installers and operators now and well into the future. The inherent quality and capability of RezLok perfectly complements ABI’s stunning range of holiday homes and lodges.
ABI UK’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Jones added:
At ABI we’re delighted to be appointed as an approved installer for TLJ. For us it means that we can deliver holiday homes and lodges pre-fitted with state-of the-art smart locks. We’re confident that by introducing new technology like this to the leisure industry, we will add to the experience of consumers and customers alike
